What change is SynGrow trying to create?
Impact is observable improvement in capability, access, confidence, relationships, participation and opportunity — not activity volume.
What impact means here
A number of people reached is an activity measure, not an impact measure. What matters is whether someone can do something they could not do before, reach something that was previously closed, or act with support they did not previously have. Those are harder to measure, which is exactly why they should not be replaced with easier numbers.
Inclusion principles
Support is directed by demonstrated barriers, not by assumptions attached to demographic identity. Someone's background does not by itself establish either need or eligibility, and treating it as if it did is both inaccurate and undignified.
Reskilling for All
Reskilling for All is the supported-access initiative: reducing cost, access, connection and confidence barriers so that people who would otherwise be excluded from development can take part.
Community and regional impact
Capability that stays in a place changes that place. Local chapters, community programmes and regional partnerships exist so that development is not concentrated only where opportunity is already dense.
Measurement and evidence
SynGrow distinguishes between aspirations, targets and achieved results, and labels them as such. Figures are published when there is evidence behind them, with the method visible. Until then, this page explains the approach rather than displaying a number.
