Development opportunities are not distributed evenly. Reskilling for All exists to reduce the barriers that decide who gets to take part.
Why supported access exists
The people who would benefit most from developing new capability are often the least able to absorb its costs — in money, time, risk or confidence. Left alone, development reaches those who already have the least need of it. Supported access is the correction to that.
Who support may be relevant to
Anyone facing a demonstrable barrier to participation: cost, unemployment or underemployment, caring responsibilities, geographic distance from opportunity, disrupted education, disability-related barriers, or displacement from a shrinking occupation. The relevant question is the barrier, not the category.
An evidence-based approach
Eligibility is assessed on the barrier a person actually faces. SynGrow does not run symbolic inclusion programmes aimed at demographic groups in the absence of demonstrated need, because that misallocates support and reduces people to categories.
Forms of support
Support may include funded or reduced-cost participation, flexible formats, targeted mentoring, equipment or connectivity where that is the binding constraint, or partnership with organisations already working with a community. The form follows the barrier.
How eligibility and selection work
Where a supported place is limited, the programme itself states who it is for, what evidence is asked for, how places are allocated and who decides. Selection criteria are published with the programme rather than applied invisibly.
Partner and funder contribution
Supported access is funded through partner and CSR contribution. Funding an initiative never confers influence over who is selected, what guidance people receive, or which opportunities they see.

There are no open supported-access programmes at the moment. Organisations interested in funding supported access can start a conversation through the partnership route.
